GLL AT AVS!
Good Luck League is excited for our first event at Apple Valley Speedway on September 6 and 7! Please join us for a weekend of drifting, which includes our annual Battle Comp. AVS is perfectly suited for the aggressive driving style that GLL continually promotes, aggressive entries and close tandems will be the key to success in the competition.
EVENT DETAILS
Weekend registration includes both Saturday and Sunday, as well as entry into the comp. By default you’ll be eligible for the comp and will compete in the Top 16 if selected by the judges. The comp will take an estimated 2.5 hours, and open runs for all registered drivers will continue afterwards until the track closes at 11pm.
While we do encourage everyone who registers to compete, it is optional, so if you’d like to join us for just the open runs on Saturday morning until the evening, and Sunday morning until 5pm, please feel free to register! Single-day registrations are also available.

Judges will be scoring each run, after the second run the winner will be decided
The winner of the round will advance to the next bracket
FORMAT
QUALIFYING
Practice will start in the morning of the event
Qualifying will start at 1pm
Judges will be watching all participants during Qualifying, to choose the Top 16
Top 16 will be announced at 4pm
Track will be hot for the entire duration of qualifying, so get in as many runs as you can for the judges to see
Drivers can choose to drive solo or tandem
JUDGING
A points system will not be used for competition. Instead, we will rely on the judges to collectively make decisions, trusting their own driving and previous judging experiences. That being said, all judges will be using the same criteria:
